Orlando Pace visits Bears
Bears officials have confirmed that veteran offensive tackle Orlando Pace was at Halas Hall today visiting with the team. Pace’s visit was first reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He was cut by the Rams earlier this month.

White Sox waive Owens
Jerry Owens said he was waived Monday by the White Sox, giving Dewayne Wise the starting center field job and leadoff duties.
“I can’t say my performance was helping me at all,” Owens said. “Dewayne is a great player and he picked it up the last few weeks. He deserved it.”
